Prof. Manfred O. Hinz, author of "
The Shade of New Leaves. Governance in Traditional Authority. A Southern African Perspective" will give the first Antony Allott Memorial Lecture on 17.01.2006, 6.00 p.m. at the Lecture Theatre, University of London. The lecture in memory of Antony Allott will focus on limits of law as they are becoming increasingly apparent as consequences of the changing role of the (modern or postmodern) state with particular emphasis on the situation of African countries.
