This volume attempts to analyze, in an academic scope, Serbia's unique position and its relations to its neighbours, viewed in a European context. The diverse topics reveal historical facts, the actual political situation, international relations, political culture and cultural interactions in this region. The discourse reflects the situation from a Serbian point of view as well as from an international perspective, perceived up until the time of October 2005.
