The Servant of Yahweh in Isaiah 52:13-53:12

The author of this dissertation presents us with a cultural hermeneutical work. He toes the line of many African Theologians who have, since the 70ties and 80ties, tried to develop a postcolonial and specific African Theology. This work, therefore, which has not only given a historical analysis, but also an African oriented interpretation of the Fourth Servant Song of Isaiah, can be considered to be a successful and important contribution to the self amancipating African Theology of our time.

The author, Theophilus Ugbedeojo Ejeh, born in 1975, is a priest of the Catholic Diocese of Idah, and hails from Ankpa in Nigeria. He studied Philosophy in Makurdi, Nigeria from 1994 to 1997; He later studied Theology in Fulda, Germany from 1998 to 2002 and had doctoral studies from 2006 to 2011 in Theologische Fakultät Paderborn, Germany.
