Klappentext
This book carries the evidence of plight and exploitation of the floating sex workers in Dhaka, Bangladesh. An in-depth account of injustices that the floating sex workers in Dhaka experience due to lacking agency has been represented in the book with a view to instigating the debate whether prostitution is a form of work or exploitation. Probing into the effectiveness of various socioeconomic development programs aiming at improving the socioeconomic status of the floating sex workers carried out by both national and international development actors, this book represents a number of policy implications as regards ensuring floating sex workers' entitlements, capabilities and human rights.
