This book investigates the relationship between learning disabilities and grade repetition in Kenyan primary schools. Particular consideration has been given to factors associated with poor performance within the learning environment, like school conditions, home environment, policy related issues and the learners themselves.
Kennedy Bota, PhD, graduated from Kenyatta University in 1990 and served as a secondary school teacher for five years. After the first two years in service, he served as a deputy head teacher before enrolling for his graduate studies in Hamburg University. His research interests focuses on learners with special educational needs, a field in which he gave guest lectures and workshops at Hamburg University, Leipzig University and Humboldt University of Berlin, Germany.
