Codex Hamburgensis

Il ms. B 141 è un testimone della liturgia dell’XI sec. L’edizione e lo studio di questo manoscritto hanno permesso di desumere che, verosimilmente, il rituale-sacramentario ha avuto un uso presbiterale/missionario nella Chiesa di Amburgo. Il codice è di provenienza incerta ma è ipotizzabile identificare l’origine di alcune singole parti nelle regioni francesi, insulari o spagnole e, in proporzione molto inferiore, in Italia. Il contenuto presenta i riti per gli infermi e i defunti, un Ordo Missae, un rito del Matrimonio, Messe per varie necessità, diverse benedizioni e il testo dell’Exsultet.

Georg Taubitz (nato 1991) è un presbitero della diocesi di Amburgo. Dopo gli studi a Francoforte si è laureato a Roma in teologia presso la Pont. Università Gregoriana e si è licenziato nel 2020 in Sacra Liturgia presso il Pont. Istituto Liturgico.

The ms. B 141 is a witness to the liturgy from the 11th century. Edition and analysis of certain aspects led to the assumption that the Ritual-Sacramentary was in use in the Church of Hamburg. While it is extremely difficult to determine the provenance of the Codex with any kind of certainty, the origin of its constituent parts is more likely to be France, the British Isles or Spain than Italy. The Codex contains rites for the sick and departed, an Ordo Missae, a matrimonial rite, various formularies for Masses, several blessings and the text of the Exsultet.

Georg Taubitz (born in 1991) is a priest from the Diocese of Hamburg. After studies in Frankfurt he obtained in Rome a bachelors degree in theology from the Pontifical Gregorian University and in 2020 a license in Sacred Liturgy from the Pontifical Institute for Liturgy – Sant’Anselmo.
