Cultural Heritage

This publication contains papers presented at the Alexander von Humboldt-Kolleg held in Jordan under the title Cultural Heritage: At the Intersection of the Humanities and the Sciences (16-18 April 2019). Contributions represent a mix of arguments that vary in content and depth on both micro and macro level analysis. They shed light on our understanding of the human cultural inheritance through a multidisciplinary approach. Overall, these Proceedings are a testament to the quality of work presented by senior and junior researchers at the Kolleg. The range of studies is intended to be a resource and stimulus to students and researchers in the field of Cultural Heritage. This exchange of expertise and experiences offers valuable evidence that Humboldtians are willing to write their own successes in safeguarding and preserving the Cultural Heritage of humanity. The proceedings confirm, once again, that the strengths of the Alexander von Humboldt Network should be celebrated and honored.
