Klappentext
The international migration of nurses is a global phenomenon with severe repercussions for countries like Malawi, which face a human resources for health crisis. This book traces the biographies and future perspectives of young Malawian nurses with a university degree, uncovering the biographic importance and meanings of intentions and images of migration in the new generation of nurses. It contributes often-neglected biographical insights on nurse migration from the Global South that can inform research and policy development on the migration of nurses from Malawi and beyond.

Christiane Voßemer works on health & migration in South East Asia and sub-Saharan Africa. She is a graduate of Development Studies at Vienna University.
