The Journal of Legal Pluralism and Unofficial Law is an
independent, refereed, interdisciplin-ary, international
journal devoted to scholarly writing, documentation,
information on current developments, and related
communications concerning all aspects of legal pluralism and
unofficial law everywhere in the world and at all times.
Contributors and readers include scholars and practitioners
in the social sciences generally, but predominantly from
anthropology and law. Established in 1969 under the name
African Law Studies the JLP acquired its present title and
terms of reference with issue nr.18 in 1980.
Subscriptions to the Journal of Legal Pluralism are
currently 27.00 Euro for individuals and 52.50 Euro for
institutions. A subscriptions consists of two numbers, each
of approximately 200 pages.
