The author To Xuan Phuc was formerly a junior researcher at the Bonn International Graduate School in Development Research at ZEF and member of the Research Group on Postsocialist Land Relations at Humboldt University in Berlin. He received his doctoral degree at Humboldt University in Berlin in 2007. Currently, Dr. To is a postdoc fellow at the Anthropology Department, University of Toronto, Canada.
